You know, after 30 years of wanting one, I got a Gre-Gory in the box and.....sold it six months later. So I kind of agree with your assessment of him. I would have loved him at nine but not so much at 45.

I was 5 or 6 when this was released (Had some of Mattel’s BSG line). So, I was probably the right age, but I missed this one. The name seems quite familiar, though. So, maybe I did see it ...or was there a commercial?

It was heavily advertised in comic books, if there was a commercial then I've yet to see it surface on Youtube.

Gotcha! I probably did see it in a comic book ad, but seeing the toy versus the comic ad can be a completely different experience. Lol

I'll always remember the ads in the comics, but I never once saw him in a toy store.

After seeing the above ad in comics I wanted a Gre-Gory so bad but I never saw one sold at retail. I had a chance to buy a boxed one around 10 years ago, but came to my senses. Like others have mentioned, this is a toy that would have been fun when I was ten, but now it's just a big rubber bat with dried up bat blood in his chest.

I had a friend who owned one. I remember that thing being HEAVY!!! You could really whack someone good with that lump of rubbery plastic!
