I always post a custom right before the new season of Game of Thrones. But in honor of their final season I knew I had to kick it up a notch. I did a season 1 Dothraki Khaleesi version of Daenerys with a baby dragon back in 2012, but it was time for an update on the pair... and to Go Big.
Drogon
Drogon is a mash up of an Animal Planet latex dragon and a Halloween bat skeleton. He is 30" x 36" x 11", which makes him bigger than the Hot Toys 1:6 scale Drogon (which is affordably priced at a scant $1500, btw). One of the scales on his back is removable, and can be replaced with a saddle. He sits on an absolutely gorgeous Laser Mego stand, engraved with the Targaryen house seal.
Daenerys Targaryen
This dress/cloak is from a couple seasons ago now, but I think it is the quintessential look for Dany. The asymmetrical chest and skirt took considerable trial and error (probably took longer than making the dragon, honestly), but I eventually landed on something fairly workable.
Action Shots
While the weather has not been very cooperative, I had to take the finished product out for a quick test flight...
As always, I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to look at these. And be sure to tune in to the Final Season which premieres tomorrow!
