First Image Of A Black Hole

I wanted to post this since we're the generation of special effects, we've had numerous images of what a black hole would look like.

On one hand, this is what I expected: The ol' Eye of Sauron. On the other, I always envision the collapsing starfield. Still amazing to see.

It is an ASTOUNDING image considering just how distant it is, but it also shows what can be achieved through true cooperation.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Is that the movie where a ship goes into a black hole and it comes out and the find it's like literally hell inside ?

Never did see that all the way through yet.

And we still can't get a clear picture from an ATM camera.

Space may be the final frontier, but it's made in a Hollywood basement
