Which one hit wonders did you enjoy other hits of?
Pink Floyd - Yes, they are technically a one hit wonder (Another Brick in the Wall) only #1 song
it does not have to have been number 1 to be a one hit wonder,. Dark Side of the moon is one of the top selling albums of all time, so Floyd is not a 1 hit wonder
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
Another band that was HUGE in the U.K. but only had one hit in the U.S. was The Jam.
This song probably got more radio play in the U.S. about 10 years after it was released. It got regular play when "alternative" radio format took to the air in the early 90's.
That Jam track got a lot of airplay back in the early 80s in L.A. on KROQ.
Madness was pretty big in the college stations especially "The Sun and the Rain" and "House of Fun".

That's cool. And yeah, a lot of great bands got tons of college radio airplay that never really sold enough to even be "one-hit wonders." Bands like Husker Du, The Replacements, the Minute Men were very well known but only in certain circles. Even bands that would later get wide familiarity (I'm looking at you, Ramones) never really registered a "hit." (Though 'Sheen is a Pink Rocker' reached top 30.
