Trek were my only Megos back in the day!

I was a secret Trek fan when I as kid.

I say secret because I would only admit to thinking Trek was "OK." My brother was the big sci fi guy in our family. I was the superhero guy. Somehow, I drew a line between them with heroes on the "cool" side and sci fi on the "nerd" side. I really don't remember how I justified this delineation, but I could never admit my fondness for anything my geeky brother liked. Sure I had several ST Megos when I was a kid, but that was only because the Neptunian made a great villain stand in or I couldn't resist that fun transporter.

I've come to admit my love of Trek, Dr Who and other things my brother loved when we were kids. Even to my brother.

I bought Type 1 Star Trek Mego's back when they first came out, and I still have them all. I'm glad the line is being expanded.

Been a Trekkie since I was a kid and remembering having to plead to go see the first movie. I was so disappointed.

Have no vintage or new Trek figures. Would love to win this figure of Kirk.

Green shirt Kirk is my favorite new Mego figure. I got an extra shirt and dressed vintage Kirk too. Perfect for the Enterprise!

P.S: I am old enough to admit I got into Star Trek by watching the animated series after school in the 1970's.

Lt. Uhura Needs A Friend!



Howdy and hello, Mego Museum! This is a current pic of my one and only Star Trek Mego action figure—the original Lt. Uhura! I've had this awesome action figure since I was a kid in the '70s. I cherished this figure from the day I got it and as you can see I still do! The only thing missing would be a friend the same size as Lt. Uhura and gosh, this new Captain Kirk would sure be great! I totally promise to take great care of this new release of Captain Kirk that's up for grabs in this sweet contest! I can also guarantee my Lt. Uhura would be happy to finally have someone to go on adventures with. Thank you kindly for considering, Mego Museum! :D

I wish to post my nod to the original 70s Star Trek Kirk, because I customized the Mego Green Shirt Kirk to look more like the original release. I truly appreciate Mego Star Trek action figures.
