I thought it had a King of Comedy vibe.
      Fresh, not from concentrate.

Yes, I picked up on that too! I do love King of Comedy...
Expectation is the death of discovery.

As it stands now, I am with you.

There is nothing in that trailer that impresses me.

If it comes out and everyone loves it, I might see it at the theater. Or at least once it hits streaming.
If the consensus is that it stinks, I may never see it.

I will pass on seeing it in theaters but will likely check it out once it hits HBO or Netflix

With Martin Scorsese producing a standalone Joker origin film, it's time to look at why his 1982 film 'The King of Comedy' is a perfect inspiration.

I stopped going to the movie theater. Nothing beats your own big flatscreen, surround sound, your own food, beer, can pause anytime to use a clean bathroom. It’s not only cheaper too, but no strangers coughing, talking, eating really loud, obstructing your view, smelling...and crying babies.

Redbox, Xfinity OnDemand...and Netflix for me...

100% agree with this sentiment. Especially for us folks here in an ever population growing Seattle. Pretty much done with movie theatres.

Oh, I forgot...you can rewind and watch your favorite scenes over and over again too...

I’ll chime in on the trailer.

I actually liked it, although I was not expecting to. It gives us a different look at the psychoses that create and drive someone like The Joker. We’ve all seen to the Nth degree that which spawned and motivates Bruce Wayne/The Batman; this is just giving us the flip side of that coin.

I will definitely see it theatrically. I don’t go to theaters often anymore due to all of the reasons listed by Hector above, but the newer theaters, with their luxury recliners and widely varied offerings at the concession stand, do provide me a pretty nice experience when I do go. And, as much as I love my 65”, 4K OLED TV (and it’s accompanying BOSE sound system), it still doesn’t have anything on experiencing the film on a screen 70 feet wide and three stories high with the Dolby Atmos surround sound.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
