    One Million BC revisited...

I was going through my boxes of Mego parts, heads, bodies, etc., and found two One Million BC bodies and four of the heads (two of Orm), and thought about whether to re-build them Mego style or do my own take. I decided to update and re-design them, and maybe add a female that was a wee bit more Racquel Welch than Ma Walton. Need the two heads I'm missing (Grok and Zon), but here's the first two. Went with a little more leather/animal skin look rather than all fur:

I like the look, especially for the girl. Did you use skiing leather? It's the only leather I can think of that is thin enough for this scale.

Thin pleather I picked up off of ebay (which is likely the same thing as the skiing leather you mention). There's a couple places I found there that have nice, thin stuff. Has some decent stretch to it.

Excellent work. Did you sew by hand, by machine or use glue?

I think these would have sold better if they all looked like this.

I didn't even know that these existed back then.

I don't recall ever seeing them on the pegs, nor did I ever catch sight of the prehistoric beasts. I definitely would have wanted some cavemen to go up against my Mego Justice League or the crew of the Enterprise.

Wow those have really turned out great. I wish either Mego or FTC would have reproduced them so there heads would be easier to find.

Quick question, have you thought about using the new muscular body on the figures?
