      What I would do is find a practice head once you get a tool and work on it with a smaller bit till you feel comfortable. use a low setting, too. High setting may melt the plastic.

          I've found it's hard to hollow out the hole in the soft head; might be better to file down the neck plug with an emery board.

              I have no problems using a power tool on soft plastic heads.
