I am working on a lot of these Playmates conversions simultaneously. Daxie Brown here is the first I have finished. I gutted the suit seams, and lopped the body in half. Then I grafted on a CTVT India torso and legs, and on top I chopped the arms at the bicep and grafted on CTVT India arms. Janeway shown to give an idea of how big these are to start; Spock for current scale.

I’m missing something... what does the “grafting” add over a body swap? Is this because of the neck post?

Different shoulder width, chest proportions, and better waist. There aren't any separate boots that work well for this either.

I am really not a fan of the Mego female 8" body in general. Next time I'll take pics. I could have gotten similar results with a famous covers body.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm not a big fan of the Mego female body either... I keep hoping we will see someone release a Mattel-like revised body again. In any case, the end result looks great!
