    I'm Doing Some Marvel Customs...

I'm trying to do some classic Marvel characters from the silver/bronze age. The closest one to completion is this fellow...

He still needs some face paint and he'll be pretty much done.

He looks great! Yes, the painted face will rank him to perfection... Is that the Dr. Mego IM head sans the nose?

      Thanks Boywonder0,

Yup, Doc Mego Iron Man head I ordered sans nose, I also ordered the suit from Doc (thanks again, Paul!). The boots, gloves and belt are FTC, although I'm happy with most of those...the belt is off in color and sheen...I might have to paint and seal it, to get it to match the rest.

I'm finished with Iron Man (I went with a more modern lit up eye look, instead of the visible eyes through the eye ports look, though), you may have noticed I added little red beads to his chest to emulate his chest chargers/nipple-thingies from the comics...

He looks really nice, it's good way to get a vintage-style Iron Man at a decent price.

I like the belt, to me it's closer to the original.

Are the Doc Mego heads painted or do you need to paint them yourself? If you do need to paint them, what is the best paint and best technique to make them look good?

Hey TheVintageToyKid, his heads come unpainted, but I think Doc Mego is offering a painting service now (not by him, though), however...I painted mine, myself with acrylic paints.
