    Designer Cubes

Slap a Beethoven poster on the wall and it's Alex the Droog's bedroom!

These were my version of designer cubes. Though they were not made of fabulous fiberboard-

        I like the LP holder.

As a kid and young adult I could never find a proper LP cabinet for sale.

The few I had were bought at garage sales beat up and had a very 50's look to them.

Eventually built my own using an old TV console with the guts ripped out.

My daughter essentially has the same thing in her room, from IKEA. But there are plastic tote drawers that slide out. So these thrive to this day!

Not sure where my daughter got them, but she also has cubes for her stuff.
Hers have lids, but they all fit in a shelving unit. With the lids they are also easily stackable.
She mostly uses them to store her hobby stuff.
I first saw them a couple years ago when she brought her airbrush and compressor to Wonderfest in them.

Makes total sense. Especially when you consider she seems to change apartments every year when her lease runs out.
