This is taken from the first generation master tapes, and is as good as it will ever sound. Producer Mike Matessino is known in soundtrack circles as the best of the best in terms of preservation and assembly of classic film scores. It doesn't get more classic than this. You all need this. Zod commands it.

I do too. I also have the Superman II vinyl with the laser etched "S" shield logos on the vinyl. Amazing tech that I don't think I've ever seen elsewhere.

As a kid, I was always frustrated by some of the edits in that program. Especially that the Main Title March was not the one from the film, and didn't include the wonderful music from the comic book prologue.

Having said that, it will be fun to revisit that same program presentation in pristine sound.
