    Yeah, it is an obvious troll by Red Letter Media to trade spectacle and controversy for hits on their video/youtube channel. I guess he's also trying to make a point about the current state of fandom (they have done other videos in the past couple of years with rather pointed pokes at Star Wars fans and social media).

    Fascinating viewing nonetheless to see them melted down like that. I think the resulting cube could be displayed as an art-object in any number of contemporary galleires, or who knows what a collector would STILL pay for a block of melted star wars figures with that kind of notoriety?

    It's clearly working, I think that thing has been posted to my toy Facebook group 50 times today.

    I'm not triggered by this but seeing those childhood friends melt isn't super easy.

    Yes, Mikey is right, 100%. The right thing to do would be to donate double that amount or value to children.
