      Looking good!

I did not invent the technique, but I do like to sing its praises whenever I can. The fact that it shrinks it to scale without losing paint or rooted hair... pretty amazing stuff.

Naptha, as opposed to using Acetone

              Pour Naptha in glass container
Dunk head, making sure air bubbles out of inside
Let sit for a few days
              Take out and let dry
              Repeat until desired results achieved

do you have to put something in to keep the head submerged? also, does it harden the vinyl/plastic material the head is made out of?

It definitely hardens the head as it shrinks, which is I believe because the elasticizer leaches into the Naptha. Good news is that heat restores flexibility for installing. The heads that I have been playing around with will lay at the bottom of the container once the air bubbles out of the inside. I use a tooth pick or small screw driver to push the head down initially.

                              thank you sir.

just seems odd that a paint thinner does not remove the paint from the head. I am going to try it on the Bele I recently made from a playmates figure. the head does not look bad but it is definitely oversized for a Mego body
