    R.I.P. Julia Adams

    The lovely lady who softened the Gillman's heart has left us.

      Very sorry to hear this. She had a long life, but it's still sad to hear. Creature is a much smarter movie than a lot of people give it credit for, and Adam's character of Kay is scientist herself. Yes, she becomes "beauty" to the beast pretty quickly, but she was a positive female character in a genre that was often pretty thankless for women. She is iconic in that white bathing suit. RIP.

              She had a magnificent voice too. Easy to see what the Gill Man saw in her. RIP.

                      I recall her on Perry Mason, as well. I enjoyed her performances and I think her casting was essential for the success of CFTBL. She was so lovely, too. RIP Ms. Adams.

                                      I absolutely see that resemblance in certain photos and at other times, I thought "Cobie Smulders". At any rate, Ms. Adams was a lovely and talented lady. I thought she was great in her "Andy Griffith Show" appearance.
