Great video! Love the "World's Finest" bag! This reminds me I really need a set of Batropes for my Batman and Robin...

Less than 12 hours after i posted this my friend spoke to the former MC Toys president and I have two corrections, his is name was Wollmann, not Wellman like the magazine i had said it was and it's pronounced "Mac-Toy". Amazing timing.

BTW i got my immediate downvote from former Museum trolls, so if you can give me a thumbs up, I'd be grateful.

Done! I usually watch these through the Playstation on our big TV, so I have trouble making it to the "like" button.

I love the foreign ads, the history of the business partnerships and marketing. Love these videos Brian. Please keep them coming!

That’s neat! Hopefully, Marty can fill in the blanks, for you, where MC Toys is related with Mego.

Any idea if MC Toys went on to release the Pocket Heroes?

My friend called Wollmann today, he at first hung up on him but later called him back, he really wasn't into talking about his toy days.

Either Airfix or Marx released the pocket heroes can't offhand remember.

That’s a shame, but if he doesn’t want to talk about it, so be it. Makes me wonder if MC Toys didn’t end well.

                  Gotcha with the Pocket Heroes.

My friend keeps digging up stuff on Mc Toy, turns out they got the Mego exclusivity away from Topsy in July of 1976.

The article mentions the Knights, Pirates (one wonders if they are in two packs as well), Star Trek, Waltons and Our Gang?

it's interesting to note that Mego's biggest late 70s line, the Micronauts came to Germany in 1978 from Airfix, so maybe MC Toy had a very short run?

A-m-a-z-i-n-g piece of history and ever-unfolding research: This is poignantly important archeology in toy culture, IMO. Wonderful work!

The relationships with foreign companies are so interesting. And an area for new discovery after all these years.

Shot in the dark- I tried to google "Geschichte von MC Spielzeug" (history of MC Toys) to see if anything might come back in German. The only think I got was a bunch of articles in German about McDonald's Happy Meal toys.
