    RIP Dick Miller

I'll always remember his as the guy that eats flowers in the original Little Shop of Horrors.

Aww, sorry to hear that. Of course he is most famous for his Corman roles and his part in Gremlins, but he also had a recurring role in the 90s Flash and did voice work on the DCAU shows, including voicing Oberon on JLU.

What is it about Dick Miller? What is it that made him so immediately likable and interesting? He had a quality on screen that is indescribable. No matter the role, he could play devious, curmudgeonly , and heartfelt... and yet he always elevated the material. You just can't help but love him.

Watch him in Joe Dante's (misunderstood) Explorers (1985) as the law man who happens to find out about the boys building their own spaceship. He first is a threat, pursuing and following, and then it's revealed that he really wants to BE the little kid in the spaceship. It's a wonderful part.

      Rest In Peace, Sir.

A sad loss. He was a hugely entertaining actor who was great in every role he played. R.I.P.
