While some of the new Mego cards have been great, some are absolutely atrocious.
The new Nosferatu and Invisible Man cards are just horribly done IMO.
Nosferatu will probably sell regardless, but in retail, presentation is everything, and especially in collectible toys, packaging is everything. It should stand out on the shelf and draw you in...make you want to buy the product.
Attractive packaging can also mean the difference between a collector buying just one, or buying multiples...one to open and one to leave MOC, if the packaging is attractive and enhances the product within. Just my two cents.
I re-did two versions of the Nosferatu card, and if the powers that be at Mego would give me the opportunity I would gladly offer my services to design either fully painted or photographic card backs.
