These are cool figures, I like Spock in dress attire, and that would be the actual Romulan Commander, but with no helmet,
the first release should have simply said, Romulan or Romulan Guard.

and like some folks have said, why variants when so many new characters can be done?

Khan, Harry Mudd, Scotty, Dr. McCoy etc.

maybe because they can produce the variants faster then newer figures,which I have no doubt will be coming soon.I'm actually pretty pleased we are getting this version of the Romulan Commander.

Exciting times for sure.but that card for these new trek figures are like McFarland's star trek in art design.o like the Target card better.but as long as we get new figs.

The Romulan looks totally bada$s.

The Elvis head sculpt doesn't look like Elvis 🤷 Hopefully the finished product looks better.

The new phasers are definitely a step in the right direction.
If they really wanted to be accurate, though, the main body would be gray and the handle a bronzeish gunmetal, with only the Phaser I being black.



(The main body was black for a few early episodes, but if they were going in that direction, the handle would have to be white.)

Not complaining, it's way better than baby blue.

Has anyone heard if the warped Kirk head sculp has been fixed for the new releases in 2019 ? Maybe CrimsonGhost can answer this for us ?

Paramount/CBS set a style guide for TOS. Anything with the license must use that design.
