    Show 'N Tell: Phono-Viewer

A record player that shows images? Man, this is a game changer unfortunately the VCR was a bigger one.

Yep, this kind of multimedia toy always fascinated me. Anything with projection or talking view masters... just made me want them all.

I remember this. It seems very primitive now.

I’m with Andy. I always loved all of that projection “stuff” when I was a kid. If it projected onto a wall or other surface it was even better.

Oh i found it fascinating and had this been released in the 1970s it'd have been a big hit but 1982 seems way too close to affordable VHS to be as exciting as it once was.

Odd that this never ended up replacing the laserdisc.

But yeah, 1982 seems kind of late for this "cutting edge" technology.

Wow, this is weird, considering most "Book and Record" sets had started converting to "Book and Tape" sets.

I had one in the 70's. It was my favorite thing. I used it to play records, as well as watching the stories. But getting new ones was ridiculously difficult. The one I remember most was Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. The colors were gorgeous.

I'm pretty sure the co-joining of the phonograph and image projection only leads to good times. I'll take Chad Valley or Chemtoy over 5K anyday!
