    Legendary dreaming

Namath and Ali were at their zenith in the 70s. With that in mind here are some of my favorite candidates in no particular order:

    Jimmy Connors
    Kareem
    Gordie Howe
    Pele
    Earl Anthony
    Richard Petty
    Pete Rose

I'd love to see a Howard Cosell, and a Nicklaus/Palmer two pack.

I almost went with Dr. J on my basketball selection. There are so many iconic baseball players it's hard to choose one. I grew up a Reds fan so Pete is mine, but I'd be happy with just about anybody. I'd buy a Bruce Jenner and a Pre too.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
