Sabretooth -- Antagonist of Wolverine, the X-Men, and Iron Fist

Sabretooth first appeared in Iron Fist #14 (August 1977) and was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. He was initially conceived as a recurring antagonist for Iron Fist, whom he fights several times. He works for a time with the Constrictor as a partner-in-crime, and clashes repeatedly with Iron Fist and Power Man. Sabretooth also appeared in comics such as The Spectacular Spider-Man. Chris Claremont introduced him as a minor X-Men villain, a member of the Marauders, during the "Mutant Massacre" crossover in 1986. He rose to greater prominence when he was split off from the Marauders and became a recurring antagonist of an individual member of the X-Men, Wolverine.

Sabretooth is built on an original Mego One Million BC body customized with LJN swivel arms; head enlarged from a Marvel Legends Face-Off figure with paints by me; Castaway boots; suit by me; hands donated graciously by Matt Jaycox.
