My son and I went to see Mortal Engines today.
It's kind of a hard to explain movie, post apocalyptic, set in the future, cities like London are mobile and move across the world feeding on smaller cities . Peter Jackson is involved with it and Hugo Weaving is in the movie.
It's been getting killed by reviewers and hasn't done much in the theaters business wise so I expect it to leave the theaters pretty soon. Honestly it wasn't terrible, it has some very cool visuals, acting was pretty good, the story had potential but there's quite a bit of, "now why is this happening?" going on. I've seen much worse movies for sure.
It kind of reminds me of John Carter/Mad Max and the Matrix all combined.
