    Dracula Colorized

I think this really adds to Lugosi. It highlights the intensity of his glare.

The tech is there for Universal to do this correctly. It's the only way forward to stay relevant.

I wasn't fan of colorizing movies until the technology greatly improved -- which it has today.

I thought I was a B&W purist but in reality I just hated the early Turner colorizing results.

Would love to see all the Monsters colorized

It still doesn't work for me. They never consider the temperature of the lighting or even bounce light. Everything looks like it's lit on a nice day. It would be nice if the color was part of the storytelling and not just there for the sake of having color.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

I'm in support of this, and I consider myself a purist. As long as both choices are offered.

I watched It's a Wonderful Life twice this year. Once in B/W, once in color. I enjoyed both.

I do think the colorization tech has improved, and I think the knee jerk reaction is to dismiss it, but sometimes you'll see things differently in the frame. Obviously, not as intended, but it's fun to enjoy different re-mixes on classic musical albums as well.

I personally don't want colorized Uni Monsters, I wouldn't pay for them. I'm not always against it but I don't think it would aid the films.

Nope, these films need to be in nice gothic black and white, it adds so much to the atmosphere. What Dracula does need is some music (I know it's been attempted a couple times), because I swear, watching that film at times is like watching paint dry.

With this being said, I wonder how the Three Stooges shorts would look like in color?

I know it was tried once not to long ago, a local tv station tried it, but I didn't like it.

Maybe these days upgrading Stooges shorts to color might be interesting?

I'm also wondering how good Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein would look in color?

Stooges has been done recently, seems quite lovingly.
