So sad. She was quite talented. Why is it that this time of year so often brings deaths of well-loved celebrities?

She was only 75. Her line from Happy Days became commonly used by my brothers and I growing up: “Staring? How’d ya like yer eyes closed for good? Huh?”
            Great talent and funny lady.

Big fan of "Laverne and Shirley", but my favorite thing she did was directing "A League of Their Own". Still love to watch that movie.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I watched a lot of Laverne & Shirley as a kid. Obviously she was quite the director as well, which was great to see. Last thing I saw her in was in our annual re-watch of Hocus Pocus, where she has a funny cameo with her brother, Garry.

                RIP.

Celebrities die throughout the year, just like normal folks. The reason it seems like December is more, because it’s more impactful due to the Christmas season being about happiness and joy...not sorrow.

Having said that, this celebrity’s death went under the radar, Oscar nominated actress Sondra Locke, Who dated Clint Eastwood’s for over a decade...

^Wow, I had no idea. She was in nearly every Eastwood movie there for some time. I always recall her in The Outlaw Josey Wales and Sudden Impact.

Of course I was Laverne & Shirley fan, I really enjoyed her movies and she broke a lot of ground as a female director.

Apparently, she was currently finishing post on a Dennis Rodman documentary.

                        Trivia …

How Myrna Turner got her laugh.

Cast were doing a sit down read and when it was Penny's turn she did it in read-style.

Everybody said it was hilarious and she should do that in the show

                        RIP

Saddened to hear this, the early seasons of Laverne & Shirley were golden. Loved her on the Odd Couple, too. RIP Ms. Marshall.

I had read an article many years ago about the trademark L that Laverne had on everything. Sales of monogram clothes went through the roof because of that show. I always laughed at seeing the L on everything she had. That was simple, but classic writing!
