3 Ways to Make it a Mego Christmas

With Mego product returning to toy shelves, we’re faced with the wonderful notion that for the first time in 35 years, children will be unwrapping Mego action figures this Christmas. We have three different ways to make Christmas more “Mego-ey” …it’s a word.

Special thanks to Rachel Baker for creating this video, you can check out her superfun Youtube videos here:

This is awesome. The term "Ambassador" is thrown around a lot, but Rachel really embodies it. I'm doing at least one, if not two of these because of this video. I think we can all afford to do our part.

I ended up with doubles of the 14"ers and put them in our local police toy drive. My wife shops for the teenagers, I get the kids.

I'd have done that, but with the stock I was seeing at local Targets, I don't think there would be that many kids who would be happy to unwrap Toootie, Fonzie, or Peg Bundy.

You may be surprised, and we can never know what toy may potentially connect with a kid in need. We may scoff at Tootie, but she could be some little girl or boy's best friend, even regardless of not recognizing who the character is.

Plus it clears stock, and helps Mego.

Yeah, my daughter would have loved a Tootie. She'd be in scale to be a kid sister to Barbie. Girls are sold a lot of dolls that have no backstory.

Zira had tea with Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Barbie and Ken and all of their friends.

Tootie, sure, it's a cute little doll. Same with the Charlies Angels or Oz. But any of the Bundys? No. Same with Cheers and Norm. No child is going to want a doll of an overweight alcoholic for Christmas. I would have cried.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Full House set is a slam dunk for kids as the show is known.

I'm no fan of the show, to put it mildly, but I can see the dolls appealing to kids and even if they are not familiar with the show they are cute enough little dolls.
