    Capshield "Kitchen Sink" Capt. America

How many of you mego heads have seen one of these guys? Does anyone think there could have been more characters on this card?

Not that I'm aware of. Apparently these Captain America's we're placed on the yellow Superman card and they were either lacking their star emblem or their Shield. Nevertheless very high collectible!!! And that's what I love!!!

Thanks for posting this question. When I have Google Image-searched for these examples in the past, I've been unsuccessful. Your question prompted me to dig a bit deeper, to find the following:

    Description:
1979 Vintage Mego “Franken-Captain America” on a Beautiful Yellow DC Superman Card....
These Amazing Variants have been featured by the Mego Museum and are ultra rare.
As the story goes, in the waning days of its World's Greatest Super-Heroes line, Mego intentionally released these "variants"—some reportedly with glow-in-the-dark hands—in order to liquidate back stock. As they disposed of excess inventory and cancelled figures, Mego took left over Aquaman, Spiderman and sometimes Batman gloves, and slapped them on a ’79 Superman card..."

Something about the way those eyes are painted is making me laugh. Lol

The belt looks like it is a bit different. Like a bit more grey.

That's funny Joe!! I noticed the same thing. His eyes look a little googly-eyed or something. Sort of like the basa figures . Yeah he has one of those floating belts. It also looks like the red and white stripes are a little bit smaller.

It’s weird seeing a MARVEL character being sold on a card featuring the likenesses of DC characters, although early Mego window boxes and Kresge cards did have Spidey and Cap pictured on the side panels with DC heroes.

I've seen a few characters other than cap, but they're very elusive.
