We had one growing up, some years we used it and other years we had a real tree....my folks had it for ages! They tend to be pretty pricey these days when you see them in antique malls.

I don't recall knowing anyone who had one of those, we sure didn't.

Never had one but my mom did buy a metric tonne of tinsel.

I always found it weird because she'd bring out the push vacuum after (the only time we saw that thing) and it would be full of tinsel in less than a week.

My great-grandparents had one with the color wheel. I loved it when I was a kid when we would go to their house for the big family get-together.

I love them but never had one growing up. I've had a few modern simulated aluminum ones, with a color wheel. Problem is the color wheels now aren't very vibrant or reliable. Kurt S. Adler makes one, but it gets stuck a lot.

I've never actually seen a home with a colour wheel, see them in antique malls all the time but I don't think that was big in my neck of the woods.

^ That's a really nice one. Is it new or vintage? The Adler one I have is new and a bit pricey for what it is. I really love them though. They light up the whole room.

Thank you! Yes, this wheel is vintage. It was in my family's house when I was a kid. It runs quiet. No need for the one-year warranty on the box--long since expired.
