RIP. He always came off as a down to earth guy.

Our family went to see him in the theatre with Disney's "The Cat From Outer Space". We loved the movie so much that we got the View-Master,& even named our housecat "Jake". He was a comical actor.

Three well-received TV series, Disney films, and a lot of guest appearances: He had a good run...

I'm a pretty regular reader of Mark Evanier's blog. He has a short RIP posted for Ken Berry and I learned that Berry was a performer with Special Services while in the Army and his Sergeant during that stint was Leonard Nimoy.

    ^Oh wow!

I think he was the one who said "CBS cancelled everything with a tree in it" when Mayberry, RFD, The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, etc. were cancelled all at once, and apparently over someone telling an exec they were in charge of "The Country Broadcasting System".

Actually, it was Pat Buttram ( Mr. Haney on "Green Acres") who said the line about everything with a tree in it being cancelled...

^Well, I would rather hear him say it, thanks to his unique voice. No offense to Mr. Berry, of course!

I loved him in F Troop, but I also remember he used to guest star on Carol Burnett and had some wicked dance moves! RIP Ken, you will be missed.

I recently listened to the PodStallions 2017 Retro Awards Show. It would be a neat idea to see how many retro celebs you can remember passing in 2018. Sort of like an "In Memoriam"
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.
