Stan Lee Hulk and Spidey 1977-78

Does anyone besides me and Pali remember this nightmare of a Hulk?

I first saw this thing on TV. I thought it was on Kids Are People Too, but looking at the host and timeline, it would've been Bob McAllister and considering I was still living in Jersey in the 70's, it could have been Wonderama. The clip was Stan as he intro'd three superheroes (Spidey, Hulk and...Cap?). Hulk came out last and wasn't a guy, but this contraption of man-balloon.

This is the first photographic evidence I've ever found to verify its existence.

Oh I definitely remember that. I wish I could place where and when I saw that, but if memory serves it was something they used well into the 80's for various promotional pieces. Here is that Spidey for Marvel's Pizzazz Magazine.

^Wow, great commercial! I had never seen that before!

As for the big puffy Hulk, I think he may have been seen on TV on that weird Saturday Morning award show, or the Macy's Day Parade "Marvel City" float, or maybe when Spidey and MJ got married? Either way, I had seen him somewhere as a kid, and thought it was REALLY weird.

I seem to remember seeing that Hulk on the Today show or something similar back then.

I know this is a Hulk thread, but there is something eternally appealing to me whenever I see a simple spandex Spidey suit with eyes on the smallish side.

^ Agreed! Love that commercial version of Spidey.

I may be misremembering, but I have this idea of the Hulk, Spidey and Captain America kind of fumbling around on stage together...or maybe they were knocking over some bad guy with one kneeling behind him and one of the others knocking the bad guy over.

Great commercials! If they made movies or TV series with superheroes who looked and acted like that, I’d be all over them.

That was it! So if you're NYC and I was Jersey, then maybe it was Wonderama and not a national broadcast?

While it’s true that I live in NYC, now, the fact is I grew up in Indiana. So, it must have been a national broadcast, but I can’t recall which one.

Glad I was on to something. I knew it was a real memory, but had no idea where from. I must have been very young when I saw it. I could have seen it anywhere, but is Kids Are People Too possible? No strong idea here...just the memory.
