I had the Macy's parade on while I was putting up the Christmas decorations. having a quiet Thanksgiving with no company so we decided to decorate while food is being prepped and cooked. the parade annoys me though as it is basically just one long commercial

The Houston parade was more fun. Several high school bands...college drill team the apache belles...mars rover...some big balloons...

I was there. It was fun! I was fortunate to see it from a warm office as it’s freezing here.

I wish they'd show the parade more and the broadway commercials less.

I guess what they don’t show on TV are many of the marching bands. I’ve only been once (this year). We had the TV on in my wife’s office and noticed that while it’s mainly shown in sequence as it happened live, but they also, occasionally, show balloons and floats out of sequence. I think CBS showed the Pokémon float about 10 minutes after it had passed their vantage point and showed the dragon from How To Train Your Dragon about half an hour after it passed them. No big deal, just an observation.
