    14" figure box illustration

Who here would rather have the figure look like the packaging artwork......normally I'd say no, but the artwork is great.

Absolutely not, I'm not a fan of those New 52 character designs.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

The New 52 killed my comic buying. I avoided or sold most of the few toy representations I had of those designs. I wish the box artwork matched the actual toy, but since I opened all but two of what I have found, it doesn’t matter much.

Classic looks for me all the way. No interest in DC new 52 looks.

I'm no fan of the New 52. That said, I don't mind modern looks if they're not awful.

Case in point: I hated Superman's new 52 look. Getting rid of the trunks was awful. The red really breaks up a sea of blue. But I love Batman's rebirth costume.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

Add me to the list of NO to the New 52 looks.
I do find it quirky that Mego was given that artwork to use on their packaging.

If they could do it the other way around, I'd be in for it. But no to any New 52 designs. Most of them have already been abandoned anyway.

It's not a huge quibble but i would love it if they'd stop using those designs on the boxes.

On the back of my Wonder Woman box, it says, "Authentic Retro Packaging." Not sure exactly what that means. I see nothing "retro" about it. It seems contradictory since they're using the new 52 character design.

Well, the entire line is meant to convey a retro look and to some degree, i see that but yeah, vintage style guide art would be better.

^I read somewhere they had to use the modern designs on the package due to some licensing issue? Is it maybe because of Jakks Big Figs or something using the classic 1982 JLGL style guide art?

Ah, OK. We should gather all of this stuff into a megathread.
