Happy Halloween customizers, from Michael Myers and me!

Though I had thought about making a Mego Michael Myers custom on more than one occasion in the past, this was not a planned custom. I received one of those new 5.5" Savage World, Michael Myers figures, and a few hours later looked over at one of the new Action Jackson figures, and thought, holy crap, I think it would work. About an hour later I had a Mego Michael! This is also my first custom using modern Mego parts. The body, suit, undershirt and boots are all from the new figures.

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Huh, so those Savage World figures actually are good for something... who knew?

    Very nice work!

That's really great!!! Was there any difficulty in head compatibility? I'd love to make one myself. Where did you get the knife

Perfectly executed and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is blatantly copying your marvelous idea right now!

The knife came with the Myers figure.

The head attaches great if you use one of the new Mego bodies. Heat up and pop off both figure’s heads. Then cut the mushroom top off the Mego neck post, leaving just the post. Heat up the Michael head again and shove it on the Mego body post. It will stay on surprisingly tight, and still turn.

The knife comes with the Michael figure. He actually comes with two. They are good Mego scale.

Haha, yeah, lots of inquiries. I know of a handful of people that are working on them now. It’s a fun, easy custom.

Another tip: To remove the AJ logo from the Action Jackson suit.

Saturate a q-tip with Goo Gone. Then saturate both the front and back of the logo on the suit. Wait 20 minutes and you can peal or pick it off. Add more Goo Gone/time as you go, if needed.

Awesome tips. Thanks everyone. This looks to be a doable custom for anyone at entry level. Well done and thank you for sharing!

You know I saw those monster mashups at Target and thought about this exact same thing. Turned out really good! Nice work!

I thought of this when I got my Savage World Michael Myers. It’s actually way better then I would have thought. I might switch out my custom head from my Michael Myers custom figure. I wonder if Pinhead looks as good.

                        Thanks everyone.

This recipe has blown up on Instagram. I uploaded a tutorial and over 20 people have made one so far. If you are on Instagram, I am remcomonster there too.

Awesome job ! And super simple to make !
The only thing I did different was to use acetone instead of Goo-Gone for the AJ emblem ( it's what I had on hand) and it worked perfectly ! Thanks for the great tutorial !

                            Keepin' it Mego-ey !

My savage Myers in in the mail but God knows when I'll see it due to the Postal strike. Meanwhile I've goo-goned the AJ Logo and have a headless Myers just sitting there waiting.

Going to be a great addition to my Mego Halloween Haunted House display next year. And it'll free up my Zica body for another custom as I won't be needing my old Myers custom anymore.
