    Mego 2018 vs Cast-A-Way 2016 Action Jackson

Finally found my 2016 Cast-A-Way Action Jackson so it is time to compare the two. First up are the packaging.

*Cast-A-Way 2016: This did come with extra hands but since I bought so many of the male bodies I put them in a separate case (that I haven't found yet)

    *Mego 2018:

Now lets look at them out of there bubbles:

    Front Face:

    To the Side:

    To the Rear:

    STRIP!!!
As you can see the CAW has boot-feet. I think they came with feet or you could buy them.

As much as I liked the Cast-A-Way body I did not like the fact that the skin color keep changing. Plus the heads look like they have a oily look to them. They do stand up better than the Mego body. I do like the fact that the Mego changed to head so you do not have to squeeze in on or unscrew the back to put on different heads.

As for the outfit, I did like the CAW zipper. It really adds and extra something to the outfit. At the same time I do like the fact that Mego went with Velcro in stead of the snaps. It does make it easier to change clothes.

For some reason I miss an image so that is corrected now.

Not a fan of the cat or pm ajs. They are both too tall and muscular for my mego tastes. I do wish aj had gone a more individual look for each team member instead of copying the Joe pattern of same face with different hair colors.

I believe that this version is far superior to the Cast-A-Way:

What are you referring to when you say PM? Pardon my ignorance.

Playing Mantis released an AJ series about 12 to 15 years ago.

Playing Mantis Action Jackson is at least 19 years old. I worked at K.B.Toys in 1999 and we were selling them. Maybe even in 1998...
