I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. I'm pretty disgusted with the new Mego.

For what it's worth, the New Mego Batman head is resized.

Got my revised Batman replacement head just now, really nicely done and shows you what a company that listens to their fans and proceeds to do the right thing for them!

The new Mego is doing great as far as I am concerned, and it's not because of the low price. We have seen improvements in the Trek costumes with the printed badges, a corrected Batman head, solid bodies and nicely done clothing and over 40 figures in what, 6 months? And communication from Marty and Doc that shows they are aware of any shortcomings and listening to our feedback. Can' think of anohter toy company out there that has done so much so fast.

Ah! I should have paid the heads on their backs for a better shot of how the head has been enlarged in my post! I'm just amazed that Mego did this and sent it out as free replacements.

All that is required to fix FTC's heads are acetone and repaints. Mego did resize the head and addressed a manufacturing error in record time too. Let's see the competition do that.

I am just having fun with these. Kid kind of fun. I am having fun watching most of you guys having fun. I am having the kind of fun that reminds me of of why I collect the vintage mego figures and why I have created my own line of Type3Toys custom mego figures. It's just fun.

Yeah that's me too although you're better at it. I am rethinking my priorities in life and actually cutting down on my exposure to negativity in every aspect. Either something brings me joy or it doesn't and that's that.

Yes! I am purging negitivity myself. I have never seen mego anything other than a fun, cool toy. Sure, some are better than others, but these are supposed to be fun! Be cool to see Marty do a select or signature series of ultra realistic figures like mezco. But for now, it's Christmas at my house!

I've asked this before but never got a clear answer:
can rooted heads (Batgirl, Catwoman etc) be shrunk with acetone? or will the hair not survive the process?

The plugs make the head break apart, iirc

You might be able to acetone a rooted head, but the hair would all fall out when the head expands. If it did survive, it would need to be re-rooted.

                              I'd doubt it.

With the way things are going with Wave 3 on-line today, I am about to join the "Disgusted With MEGO's" club. At least I don't get this kind of crap with FTC.
