Mint Off Card: Mego 14" Superman

A new episode of “Mego Museum Mint off Card”, where we de-card a new Retro Figure and let you explore what's inside.

Our subject this week is the 14 inch Superman from Mego Corp, shipping to Target stores right now! We also do a bonus segment on Mego’s history with larger versions of the Man of Steel.

Tell us what you think of the Mego 14” line now that wave two has hit, have you become a convert?

A good review. I like this figure a lot, as well, and it's the figure that encourages me to collect the 14" line.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I agree, a yellow box would have been great! So far I have WW and Zod, with a Superman on the way. Undecided if I'll open them like I've been doing with the 8 inch, since the slim boxes are so nice. Kind of a throwback to the original WGSH boxes. I did have the Christopher Reeve figure, long gone but one of my earliest childhood toys, so it's great to get a throwback figure. With a nicer head.

Thanks for the Mint Off Card review videos. I always get happy when I see a new one posted on YouTube.

Great video, and I appreciate the comparison to the earlier large Mego Supermen. I now have all of wave 2, and I'm going to go back and get Wave 1. I agree, this is the crown jewel in the New Mego lineup. That and the monsters.
