You can sure tell this is made by Disney. It’s odd, I like it in spite of itself. Curious to see the direction it goes with episode 4.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

Yes, I agree... I honestly didn’t know if a SW show would work without that iconic music, but this works for me.
It still feels very Star Wars, and my fears that it would be too dark were unfounded. It has a perfect tone.
I certainly have enjoyed it more than I did TLJ.Comment

I don’t think I’m alone in saying I’m enjoying this show more than any of the recent movies.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment

I like that there is a lot to see in the series.
I also think that it's good that things from the setting's past are in it, connecting it all together.Comment

I expected to enjoy this series, but it has roped my entire family in completely. We all love it.
I'm really surprised they don't punk out on the grit you'd need for a bounty hunter/western pastiche. It's odd considering Lucasfilm is obsessed with making Han less "scoundrely", and they'll let the Mandalorian stab people in the back with a vibro-blade! The show has just the right level of violence to make it read real without glorifying it.

I must admit, I'm in. Star Wars burnout is still omnipresent for me but this one has enough interesting things going on that I'm interested in seeing it through. It also doesn't hurt that it's short.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I'm glad they have steered clear of overpowered Jedi and flawless characters. I like the fact that, while he is clearly very skilled at his chosen profession, they do not turn him into some superhero... he gets roughed up enough that he doesn't feel invincible. And the choice that he makes: to take the job, turn in the child, take payment and use it to make his armor, and *then* grow a conscience... it is problematic in a way that is far more interesting than if the change of heart happened as soon as he found out what his bounty really was.
Also, there are a lot of great Easter eggs both to Star Wars (like the way they featured the icecream maker from Empire) and to classic Westerns (like the Butch & Sundance shootout).
For now, I am very interested in seeing where they go with this.Comment

As long as they don't contradict anything from the OT, I'm cool with it.Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figuresComment

I'm very thankful for the new series.
I'm happy to see that so many viewers love The Mandalorian!
And the toys for the show look really, really cool.
It also makes me glad that I bought the 30th Anniversary Boba Fett figure from the animated portion of the Star Wars Christmas Special.
I had him standing on the peg by the elevator of my Death Star, in the control level leading to the Trash Compactor.
With the new series, I now know a little more about his equipment.Comment

I friggin love The Mandalorian.
The prequels, the new Abraham flicks...Rogue, Solo...none made me feel like a kid longing for nostalgia...they never took me back in time.
The Mandalorian did. I feel like a young teen again.
