Disney have announced another new Star Wars live action TV series... this one centres around Cassian Andor from Rogue One, played by Diego Luna.

Diego Luna returns as the Rogue One hero in a spy thriller for Disney's direct-to-consumer streaming service.

I believe they said Pedro Pascal was cast as the lead. so I would assume that is him in the mandalorian armor

Disney wants to scale back on the amount of Star Wars content for fear of over saturation..... so they plan on hours and hours of television shows for their streaming channel.

I'd be more excited if both of these were films. I just prefer the cinematic storytelling format of one and done over television writing patterns, peaks and valleys funneling to a season finale.

            "That was a good episode!"
"Eh, that one wasn't so good"
            "That was a GREAT one!"
            "Ewww that was a stinker"
"I don't quite get where they're going with this show"
"Meh... the season finale was okay but..."

Just tell me a concise story in 2 hours and I'm happy.

Looks good. But I'm not paying for a streaming service. I'll wait for the inevitable Blu Ray release.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

if it was just this show, I probably would wait for bluray, but they will also have other SW shows and all of the Marvel shows, so I plan on getting the streaming service this time

It looks good, but ya know what I want? A postquel. The Marvel shows supposedly will dovetail with Phase 4. Why can't SW do something like that?

I'm looking forward to Tuesday. I am not a huge Disney guy, but I signed up for Disney+ because they gave a deal to D23 members in August where, if you could sign up for three years in advance, you get it for a third off which worked out to ~$4 a month. I figure between Star Wars and Marvel that there will be enough there to keep me interested.

I enjoyed the first episode. Nods to the Holiday Fett were cool and even don't mind the "Rocky" music. Finally seeing an IG assassin droid in action was the highlight for me.
