What Items From Days Gone By Are You Glad To See Available Again?

I was just reading in the Arcade Forum about some of the retro gaming systems that are making a come back and it got me to thinking about how much I have enjoyed picking up re-issue/relaunched items from the old days. I can't remember when the trickle turned into a flood, but the last few years have brought back all kinds of things I thought I would never see widely available again from classic Puma and Nike shoe styles to Mego Action Figures. I've been gladly buying all kinds of goodies like the re-issues of the old Mattel hand held sports games, a classic edition of Risk, Nintendo, Atari, Mego, and some of the old shoes styles I had back in the day. Anyone else finding this to be a great time to reconnect with the old days? What have you been buying and what's on your list?

It's fascinating to walk into a Target store and find an album section in the music isle. Clearly there is a growing demand for this format again, which I never thought I would see.

^Indeed!! I've got to get off my butt and go ahead and get a turntable. I've been "meaning to" for the last few years. Anytime I hit a place selling vinyl, I wind up browsing for a long time.

I wish McDonalds would reissue a 70's Big Mac, apple pie and French fries …. all made the proper 70's size and the same ingredients they used in the 70's right down to the cooking oil.

          Target selling cassette Walkmans again.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I don't usually do Taco Bell, but they have a Caramel Apple Empanada that reminds me of the old school McDonald's Hot Apple Pie because it's fried, not baked like the ones McDonald's sells today.

Vinyl, vinyl, vinyl! I've been spending more money on records than I have on toys this year. But my hobbies do tend to shift (and then back) from time to time.

McDonald's in Japan still has the fried apple pies, I probably stop at one almost every day just for that when I'm over there. Luckily here in Canada, our burger chain Harvey's sells fried apple pies that are very close to the old school McDonald's ones, so I get those a lot too.

Plastic monster model kits...companies like Moebius, MPC, Revell, and Round2 have been re-releasing all the great kits from years past, like Pirates of the Caribbean, Dark Shadows, Aurora monsters, etc. It's been great!

I never would have thought about them still having them because when I lived there, they were still on the menu everywhere. So.....reason number 8532 that I need to go back and visit.
