    RIP Gary Kurtzman

The legendary producer of Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back has passed at age 78. May he rest well.

    Gary on set with Lucas...

PS I am a bonehead and typed Kutzman instead of Kurtz (conflating him with Harvey Kurtzman for some unknown reason). If an admin can edit the title it would be appreciated.

Kurtz was a Buddhist, and I imagine a lot of Yoda and Ben’s wisdom with the Force was likely heavily influenced by Kurtz. By all accounts, he was smart, tough, shrewd, but generous.

It’s a sad day for the history of Star Wars.

R.I.P. Gary Kurtz... a great producer and absolutely instrumental in making SW and ESB the masterpieces that they are.

A tremendous talent that never got enough credit for his contributions on Star Wars. RIP Gary.
