$100 PlayStation Classic Coming in December

Sony is launching a miniature version of the original 1994 PlayStation console, called PlayStation Classic.

The Classic will be about 45% smaller than the original PlayStation, and come with 20 games pre-loaded.

Confirmed titles include "Final Fantasy VII," "Jumping Flash," "Ridge Racer Type 4," "Tekken 3," and "Wild Arms." PlayStation was unable to confirm any more when contacted by Business Insider.

Without dualshock controllers it really limits the game choices. I don't see this being as popular as the NES and SNES minis.

Atari flashback and nes mini already. And I never had access to a do my growing up. I'm good. I think this particular boat has sailed.

FFVII and Wild Arms will ensure my interest. But will wait until they announce the rest of the games before deciding for sure.

I doubt I will get one of these as I never had one back in the day, but I could not be happier that there seems to be more and more retro gaming units hitting the market. It's amazing how much the nostalgia niche has taken off in the last several years for all kinds of consumer goods I thought were long gone.

The Playstation classic is out at Target and I picked one up today for a $ 100.00.
A really nice game to go with Nes and Snes classics
