One of the local toy dealers in our area (Roma Collectibles) specializes in GI Joe toys, and his wife (Mary Mercenary cosplay) is big into cosplay, and they are part of a lot of GI Joe cosplay groups that travel from con to con doing Joe cosplay. One of them models itself after the Star Wars group the 501st legion that does Star Wars cosplay at events all over the country (and charitable work as well). So it doesn;t surprise me to see another group devoted to Joe cosplay.
