I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be the sleeper hit. If they can obtain licenses...Elvis, Beatles, Ziggy Stardust, Prince...that's some big sales.
A carded figure would look great among an album collection. I think the key is keeping it to vinyl-based/record artists since that's the collector crowd.
Devo would be hard to pass up.
David Byrne would be easy. In the big suit, he'd be like the anti-FTC!
