    Plastic Memorial: Exclusive FTC Announcement!

Tampa-based Figures Toy Company announced in an exclusive reveal to Plastic Memory that it has recently acquired the rights to produce even more DC Comics 8-inch fully clothed retro style action figures, this time based on the various cartoon iterations of DC characters from the Sixties and Seventies!

    Great News for FTC!

Super surprise! Never expected FTC Filmation DC cartoons after Super Friends. Can we get Wonder Woman from Brady Kids and 1981 Shazam cartoon from Kid Super Power Hour? FTC keeps outdoing itself with these DC announcements in 2018 alone.

Are Michael Gray, Jackson Bostwick and Joanna Cameron far behind?

I am actually kinda going nuts. I would L O V E figures from The New Adventures of Superman ... Superman/CK, Lois, Jimmy, Brainiac, Toyman, Lex! And New Adventures Batman ... Batman, Batgirl, Robin, Catwoman. And then there's Aquaman, Mera, Tadpole (Aqualad).

I think FTC animated-based figures have turned out great.

Hopefully they will NOT use that horrid teen body for the TT's. I despise it.

The other figures are intriguing though.

I hope they make use this opportunity to issue a Brainiac with an in-scale head.

I don't know how the Filmation cartoons will translate into action figures, but they are my favorite DC cartoons, at least until the Bruce Timm cartoons came along, so I am definitely interested. These were my real first taste of the Teen Titans and villains like Evil Star.

I might have to break out the DVDs!

Oh, and I hope they perfect Superman (the costume was my issue with all of the new ones) and Superboy too this time around. Superman's costumes and Batman's noggin!

Original cartoon version. I never liked (and barely remember) the second version. In fact, I hated the New Adventures of Batman cartoons. Nothing was right about it (Bat-Mite was the precursor to the annoying Orko!) and it was missing the cool music of the original Filmation Batman cartoons.

IIRC. I couldn't make it halfway through the DVD set, so it's been a while.
