Love the Abbott and Costello addition to this set, but I would have rather seen Abbott & Costello meet
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde instead of the Mummy, sorry but that was a pretty ridiculous looking Mummy
plus it actually growled too.

Wow... that is one comprehensive set. Might finally be time to upgrade all my Legacy Collection DVD sets.

I own the standard DVD box set shown in the article.
The only way I'd double dip is when a Blu-Ray set like this contains HD-Digital, which is bound to happen sooner than later.
There's no point in buying individually in Blu-Ray and HD-Digital when we know at some point they'll all come out.
I learned my lesson buying 007 box sets from VHS, then later on to DVD, to Blu-Ray w/ HD-Digital.

^I think I will wait for a sale as well. There are some I don't own here, but I own my favorites multiple times across many sets and individual releases.

Still, it's great to see Universal actually putting this out.

So, for 3D enthusiasts, you may want to wait a bit. Universal botched the 3D presentation of Revenge of the Creature. It's encoded improperly, resulting in a less than DVD quality image, even in 2D, which is a dang shame, because 3D Film Archive put a lot of work into the restoration of the scan. It is unknown at this point if they will issue a replacement disc.
