I always loved watching the land speed record attempts on ABC's Wide World of Sports when I was a kid.
My buddies and I would recreate those attempts to the best of our abilities with our Kenner SSP Racers in the almost always vacant parking lot of our neighborhood swimming pool.
The jet/rocket cars were always my favorites, thus my favorite SSP Racers were The Laker Special and Ram Jet.
You can pick up this LEGO car for around $7.50 almost anywhere that sells toys. A real bargain in my book!
