    Star Trek Convention 2018.

I was thinking some of the dealers would have stopped by Target and brought in some of the new Mego figures into the vendor's room, but that was not the case. Maybe next year they will have them, at least the Star Trek ones.

I might have missed them if people with early admission Gold Tickets bought them on preview night.

I circled the vendor room many times, and did not spot new Mego.

There were not many vintage Mego figures either, it hasn't been like the 1980's conventions in a long time, when they used to have the whole toy line there.

I think I spotted three of the more common Star Trek Mego figures on one side of the room, and two in the corner.

Star Trek Playmates were around, a little.

There were a handful of Star Trek Galoob and the Farengi Shuttle.

What I found most interesting were a tiny section of Lost in Space models, those were cool!

Everything else was what I call the new old toys and the new new collectibles, and the high end merchandise.

They had those cool messenger bags, though, like Bat'leth ones and the TNG computer display types.

They had some clothing and all of their own Creation stuff.

Of course, binders and plaques of old autographs, and binders of Star Trek cards.

The new small starships were pretty cool, the kind that are $20 and up.

They had some other nice things here and there.

Anyway, it might have been fun to have a big display of Mego Mirror Mirror Kirk and Spock since the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention was Mirror Universe Themed this year.

I've managed to get a set of the carded crew this year. I picked up Cheron and Uhura loose as well. I'm not sure if my goal is to get the whole set. Since I don't want to go all in on the 3rd series Aliens or the mission to Gamma 6 playset. Certainly a bridge and loose Keeper and Gorn wouldn't be hard to manage.

I'm not sure a Trek convention would be my ticket since I only liked TOS.

Ah. Excellent. That is good to have the crew members.

For me, some of the loose Mego came and went over the years. I made sure to keep an original Kirk on card, and a Spock on card. Then I bought a re-make of the Romulan. My relative has more of a set, the crew and at least one of the Aliens.

It makes the new Mego even more exciting, to think of what I can add to the collection.

I had a loose Bridge, a Keeper and a Gorn for many years, and there always seemed to be a loose Spock around. Sometimes I would come across a Spock with no pants.

I always loved the Trek series from Mego. I have the first 6 and Cheron carded, and I have the first 2 sets loose. never got the 2nd series aliens as a kid or adult due to the price. I do have all of the EMCE line though loose and carded and now have the new Mego set. Don't think I will do a loose set on these though, just keep one of each in package

also have the enterprise set on display and I have a partial Gamma VI set packed away

That's good to hear. Sounds like a really great display and collection.

I probably have a Klingon in the closet, now that I think about it.

One of my quests is to get Mission to Gamma VI one piece at a time.

Over twenty-five years ago there was a Gamma VI at a convention. It was sealed in box for $600.

In the past decade, I have seen loose ones go as low as $100.

I like your display, nice touch with Wyatt Earp in the mix.
