Mego Museum Presents the American West Toy Line. A comprehensive look at the 1974 action figure line based on characters from American History. Including Davey Crockett, Wild Bill Hickock, Cochise and Wyatt Earp. We explore the line, what didn't make it to market and how it was sold in foreign countries and the many comebacks this line had.

Tex willed is referenced several times but this video is about the American West line and Tex is not a part of that.

Cool video. Another line I had no idea existed as a kid. I have no memory of ever seeing them in stores.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It wasn't until I saw this video that I remember having them growing up. More villains for the heroes to fight.

One of the best videos yet, very smooth. This is one of my favorite lines, even thought some of the heads sculpts are lackluster. Such great accessories and costumes. Oh, how I wish the playset had been made, but thank you for including Shadow.

That was really great! Very informative to me.

I waited to watch it on TV and it held up very well on a 75 inch screen. Excellent work!

Really enjoy those history videos...keep 'em coming!

Just one constructive suggestion: the music (which is a nice touch) tends to cut off rather abruptly. Seems like a nice fade-out between musical segments would be much better for the overall presentation, and shouldn't be hard to do. I myself am no video editor, so I can't pretend to be an expert here, just someone who knows what looks good to the eye and sounds good to the ear.

I enjoyed that. Wyatt is one of my favorite megos and a boxed Davy sits on my desk.

Jason might be second to only Morgan Freeman when it comes to narration.

Great video and thanks Palitoy for sharing, I had Crockett, Earp and Buffalo Bill back in the day, today I only have Crockett

now I'll keep as is. Next to Star Trek and some choice WGSH, these America Western Heroes are right up there with me.
