it was requested I put some more photos up of the bar. the color on the face is minwax cherry, 235. the actual bar top is cherry, but it is darker than you generally get from the minwax wood finish. you would have to leave it on longer and multiple coats to get that dark. the main structure of the bar was scraps of a light box in my bathroom that I cut up and rebuilt as a smaller light box and then had the scraps laying around. wood is 3/4" I believe. I added some cabinet toe kick scraps I had laying around and stained with the minwax. it was the right thickness for the sides. the brass tubes are from Hobby Lobby, you can get them in different thickness. the box shapes on the sides of the are just toothpicks glued on and then stained and polyied. I had built the bar too high and then had to use a circ saw to cut it and ended up being slightly too short so I added rubber bits on the bottom to bring it up a little. my bar is now 4 7/8 but you would be good at 5 inches high
Norm finally arrived. Now we need someone to make beer mugs or steins in the appropriate scale. I checked ebay and they are all too small or too big. what do you think pmwassen
