A recent thread that I started over in Auction Watch got me to thinking about Mego's Teen Titans figures. I never noticed this before until I got Ben's book a couple of months back, but Mego got Speedy's costume wrong. And it wasn't something minor like missing the arrow symbol or a miscolored cape. Mego made Speedy with shorts and a longsleeve shirt when in the comics it was longpants and a shortsleeve shirt. Any ideas as to why Mego went this route?

Not sure, but it drives me a little nuts. Such a nice figure, but it's just plain wrong. It's why I have my Spedy in a Doc Mego female suit for now, with long pants!

I've given some thought to piecing Speedy and Kid Flash together from Doc Mego repros. Does that female bodysuit look good?ScottComment

It looks pretty good from the front. Bunches up a bit in the back, but his quiver should cover it up.
I really need to get me a real Speedy suit, but the comic nerd in me says "no" due to the inaccuracy.
